Transport

While Fenland and East Cambridgeshire may be rural, the area has good transport links for all your needs, including bus services, taxis and trains.

When travelling further afield, Fenland and East Cambridgeshire is also within easy reach of the A1, A14 and A47 meaning you can quickly access main roads that will take you all over the country. There are great train services which mean you could be in London in just over an hour. Train stations in Manea, March, Whittlesea and Ely provide you with direct links to Birmingham, Stansted Airport, Cambridge, Peterborough, Norwich, Liverpool and Ipswich.

In parts of Fenland and East Cambridgeshire, there are car-sharing schemes so you can find people taking similar journeys to reduce your travel costs and help the environment at the same time. There are also several dial-a-ride services including Ely & Soham Association for Community Transport and Fenland Association for Community Transport. This allows you to get out and about no matter your ability or accessibility to a car.

You can find out more about the different types of local services by visiting
the Fenland District Council website or the East Cambridgeshire District Council website.
