Entertainment

There is lots of entertainment on offer in Fenland and East Cambridgeshire, including theatres, cinemas and other fun activities.

The Angles Theatre in Wisbech is the eighth oldest working theatre in the country, dating back to 1793. Shows are still performed at the theatre as well as events and workshops for the public. If you want to become more involved in the arts, the Viva Arts and Community Group is just one of the active societies in the area. If the big screen has your interest, there are several cinemas to choose from including the Luxe Cinema, the Light Cinema, Cineworld and Ely Cinema to name a few.

There are other ways to keep the children entertained including Wisbech’s very own roller skating rink and Ely’s escape room based at Oliver Cromwell’s house. You can also make the most of the area’s wonderful wildlife as there are a variety of parks and farms, including South Angle Farm Park, which welcomes visitors during summer.

Nearby cities, Peterborough and Cambridge, also offer a wide range of entertainment options, from comedy nights to bars and clubs. Music enthusiasts can catch popular live acts or classical concerts at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, Peterborough Embankment or The Abax Stadium.
