About the role
This role will suit someone looking for a varied, busy and active role, making a difference for amazing
children and young people. Your week will involve Maintaining hygienically clean, safe and secure school
premises, which includes buildings and grounds.
• Carrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment, porterage,
and minor repairs
• Some supervision of school cleaning staff at the end of the school day and in school holidays
• Promoting health and safety around the school
• Key holder-locking up the school at the end of the day and some holiday working
• Cleaning the hydrotherapy pool and undertaking pool checks (training will be provided)

About the school
Samuel Pepys is a Cambridgeshire area special school for pupils aged 3 – 19 years living in St. Neots and
the surrounding area. All the pupils have special educational needs, which may include physical, sensory,
communication and health needs. Our school is growing and we wish to appoint team players whose skills
and experience will contribute to meeting the needs of every pupil.
Hours and Salary
• 20 hours per week 14:30 pm to 18:30 pm Monday to Friday
• Permanent, part time over 52 weeks
• Salary: Level 1C point 2-4 Actual Salary £12,089-£12,494 dependent upon relevant qualifications
and experience.
• Start date May 2024.
