Huntingdon Primary School
ABOUT US
Our school is a large, vibrant and friendly school with a strong team spirit. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff to share this commitment. We take our Prevent Duty seriously and promote British Values at all times.
OUR CHILDREN
We are incredibly proud of our children and their love of learning. It is a delight that visitors and inspectors always judge behaviour to be outstanding.
Our main aim at HPS is to make sure that our children are happy and settled in school. This allows them to learn well, make good progress and achieve their very best. We strive to develop the children as independent learners who are curious, resourceful and resilient. The children, staff and governors have worked together to decide on our whole school values:
Pride – in our achievements and those of our community.
Resilience – to work hard, be determined and keep trying.
Courage – to have a go, take risks and do the right thing.
Respect – for ourselves, others and our environment.
Teamwork – we try to be helpful, friendly and co-operative.
OUR STAFF
We have a committed, supportive and skilled team of staff who work hard to meet the need of all children. We do everything we can to provide the children with the best possible learning experiences in our happy and innovative learning environment.
OUR PARENTS
We value highly the support of parents and carers either at home or in school. We engage with parents through a variety of mediums; Seesaw, regular newsletters, Parents’ Evenings, written progress reports as well as individual responses to any questions or worries.
