Benwick Primary School
Benwick Primary School is a small Fenland village primary school within a few miles of Chatteris, Ramsey and March. We have 5 classes with 125 children on roll. The majority of our children live in the village and we encourage close links with our families.
At the heart of our school are our five values: respect, responsibility, honesty, resilience and community (teamwork). We use these values throughout our teaching and learning. We pride ourselves in the pastoral care of our children and value each as an individual and an important member of the school community.
There is a high focus on English and Maths, ensuring our children are ready for secondary school, but there is also a determination to provide the children with a varied, interesting and exciting curriculum. Forest Schools plays a large part in our Early Years curriculum and we are enthusiastic about our annual key stage 2 trip to the Voice in a Million concert at Wembley Arena. Our wider curriculum is organised across a two year cycle and included historical, geographical and scientific themed topics. Trips and residentials are an important part of our curriculum to engage and inspire our learners.
We are part of the March and Chatteris cluster of schools who work closely together on a number of projects and subject leader/NQT meetings and workshops. We are a supportive, close-knit team who all work together to provide the best we can for our children and families. We believe in developing our workforce and CPD opportunities are available to all. We pride ourselves in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Please come and visit our school to see what we can offer you.
